Digital temperature sensor
description
The MAX31826's digital thermometer provides 12-bit temperature measurement over 1-WireM bus communication, requiring the definition of only one data line for communication (and ground) with the central microcontroller. It has an operating temperature range of -55°C to +125°C, accurate to the range above ±0.5°C -10°C to +85°C. In addition, the device can derive power directly from the data line ("parasitic power"), eliminating the need for an external power supply.
Each device has a unique 64-bit serial code, which allows multiple devices to function on the same 1-Wire bus. Therefore, it is simply a single microcontroller (master) that controls many devices over a large area. The unit includes 128 bytes of EEPROM for storing system data (1KB). Locking EEPROM permanently prevents any further data writes. Address entry for four locations, simplifying mapping to a single device to a specific location.
