The MAX4550/MAX4570 serial interface, programmable, dual 4X2 audio/video crosspoint switches are ideal for multimedia applications. Each device contains two identical crosspoint switch arrays, every four inputs and two outputs. To improve off-isolation, additional crosspoints are used as shunts to input SA and SB. Each output is selectively programmable for noisy or regular mode operation. When using AC-coupled inputs, a set of internal resistor dividers provides a dc bias for each output. In addition, four auxiliary outputs control the additional MAX4550/MAX4570's 2- or 3-wire interface circuitry. The MAX4550/MAX4570 resistors feature a matching resistor of 80Ω, channel, 5Ω resistor flatness, and 0.014% total harmonic distortion of 10Ω. In addition, they are characterized at least -110dB at 4MHz, isolated in the audio frequency range and -78 dB, with an audio frequency range of -95 dB and -54 dB in 4MHz crosstalk. THE MAX4550 USES A 2-WIRE, I²C-COMPATIBLE SERIAL INTERFACE, WHILE THE MAX4570 USES A 3-WIRE SPI™/QSPI™ OR MICROWIRE-COMPATIBLE™ SERIAL INTERFACE. These parts are available in 28-pin SSOP and wide SO packages and have been tested for commercial (0°C to +70°C) or extended (-40°C to +85°C) operating temperature ranges.Key features
