MAX6795TPLD2 High-voltage, micro-power, single/dual-route regulators with monitoring capabilities

MAX6791–MAX6796 ultra-low quiescent current single/dual output linear regulators are suitable for automotive applications. These devices support a wide 5V to 72V operating input range, allowing them to withstand automotive casting while consuming only 68μA. MAX6791–MAX6794 are dual output regulators capable of outputting up to 150mA each. A single MAX6795/MAX6796 output is capable of delivering 300mA. The devices offer standard output voltage options (5V, 3.3V, 2.5V, and 1.8V) and can be adjusted arbitrarily between 1.8V and 11V. MAX6791–MAX6794 also offers a fixed 5V output. All devices are available in push-pull or open-drain, /RESET outputs with a fixed output reset threshold of 92.5%/87.5% of the output OUT/OUT1 for the regulator. When OUT/OUT1 drops below the reset threshold, the reset output is set low, and after OUT/OUT1 exceeds the reset threshold, it remains low during the reset timeout period, which is a fixed value or can be adjusted by capacitance. MAX6791–MAX6796 has a watchdog input that monitors the pulse sequence from the microprocessor (μP) and generates a reset pulse if the watchdog input stays high or low for longer than the watchdog timeout period. All devices are available with a fixed watchdog timeout period of 280ms (minimum) or their cycles can be adjusted by an external capacitor. The MAX6791/MAX6792 features an open-window watchdog timeout period with an adjustable window ratio. Watch dog function can be disabled. MAX6791–MAX6796 provides dual enable inputs (ENABLE1 and ENABLE2) to control individual regulators separately. The MAX6795/MAX6796 of a single output provides an ENABLE input. All devices have a hold input (/HOLD) that facilitates self-holding circuitry without the need for external components. Once the regulator is enabled and the /HOLD is set to low, the regulator will continue to remain on even if the ENABLE/ENABLE1 is subsequently set low. Release/HOLD will shut off the regulator. sensor MAX6971–MAX6976 in a small, thermally enhanced TQFN package. The 5mm x 5mm package dissipates up to 2.7W of power, allowing the regulator to operate continuously at high ambient temperatures, battery voltages, and load currents. MAX6791–MAX6796 is specified to operate in the temperature range of -40°C to +125°C.
