MAX9552High current VCOM driver buffer for TFT LCD

The MAX9550/MAX9551/MAX9552 provide VCOM sources for TFT LCDs. The MAX9550/MAX9551/MAX9552 source and sink large currents to quickly recover VCOM voltage, making them ideal for TFT LCDs. The output is stable within 0.1% and exceeds 2μs. In addition, the MAX9550/MAX9551/MAX9552 directly drive the capacitive load of the VCOM layer of TFT LCDs without requiring a series resistor.

The MAX9550/MAX9551/MAX9552 feature single, dual, and quad VCOMamplifierSeparately. The MAX9550/MAX9551/MAX9552 can drive up to 800 mA peak and operate up to 20V per channel. The device features soft-start to reduce inrush current and output short circuitprotectionand thermal shutdown.

The MAX9550 is a space-saving, low-profile, 5-pin SOT23 package in an 8-pin μMAX® package with exposed pads. The MAX9551 is an 8-pin μMAX package with an exposed pad. The MAX9552 is available in a 14-pin TSSOP package. All devices operate specified in the temperature range from -40°C to +85°C.
