Quad video (filter) and input sync head clamp amplifier

description

MAX9657 is a small, low-power, quad video amplifier with input sync head clamps. It has a bandwidth of 15MHz, making it suitable not only for standard definition video signals, but also for video graphics arrays (VGAs) with 640×480 resolutions up to 85Hz refresh rate signals.

In MAX9658 quad video amplifier with integrated low-pass filter and input sync head clamping. Low-pass filters typically have a ±1dB with 9.5MHz pass band flatness and 47 dB attenuation at 27MHz. Particularly suitable for composite video signals, MAX9658 ideal for performing anti-alias input filtering in digital video recorders or for performing output filtering to reconstruct a SCART set-top box.

Both devices require an AC coupling input for a video signal. The input sync head clamp sets the DC level of the internal video signal.

The amplifier has a 2V/V gain and the output can be DC-coupled to a 75Ω load, which is equivalent to two video loads, or AC coupled to a 150Ω load.

Simultaneous MAX9657/MAX9658 functionality with supply current reduced to 35μA low-power shutdown mode.

The MAX9657/MAX9658 OPERATE operates from a single 2.7V to 3.6V supply over a specified temperature range of -40°C to +125°C automotive-grade and is available in a small, 16-pin QSOP package.
