MAX9680 Adopts SC70 3V video amplifier with internal gain and filter

High-speed MAX9680 amplifiers and filters are optimized for portable video applications. It is specifically designed for embedded video encoder compatible with application processors with 0.4V PP video output. The input common-mode range includes ground, thus allowing a video DAC (digital-to-analog converter) to be DC-coupled to MAX9680.

The output swing is 2mV to V DD at GND and 20MV with a standard reverse-terminated video load (150Ω). The internal level-shift circuitry prevents saturation from the 0V input and output, preventing synchronous pulse cropping of common video circuitry. As a result, MAX9680 is ideal for DC-coupled video loads.

MAX9680 has been optimized for space-sensitive applications by incorporating an internal gain setting resistor (G = 5.2V/V), a 2-pole video DAC reconstruction filter.

In the shutdown state, quiescent current is reduced to less than 0.4μA, dramatically reducing power consumption and extending battery life. MAX9680 is tiny and comes in a 2mm x2.1mm, 6-pin SC70 package.
