description

The high-speed MAX9680 amplifier and filter are optimized for portable video applications. It is specifically designed to be 0.4VPPThe video output is compatible with embedded video encoders for application processors. The input common-mode range includes ground, allowing a video DAC (digital-to-analog converter) to be DC-coupled to the MAX9680.

The output swings at GND and 20MV from 2mV to VDD,The video load (150Ω) is terminated with a standard reverse termination. Internal level-shifting circuitry prevents saturation from the 0V input and output, thus preventing sync pulse clipping of common video circuits. This makes the MAX9680 ideal for dc-coupled video loads.

The MAX9680 is optimized for space-sensitive applications by integrating an internal gain-setting resistor (G = 5.2V/V) and a 2-pole video DAC reconstruction filter.

In shutdown, quiescent current drops to less than 0.4μA, significantly reducing power consumption and extending battery life. The MAX9680 is tiny, available in a 2mm x 2.1mm, 6-pin SC70 package.
