MAXQ3181 low power, active electrical energy, multiphase AFE

description

MAXQ3181 is a dedicated power measurement front-end that collects and calculates multiphase voltage, current, active power and energy, as well as many other metered multiphase load parameters. The calculation results can be retrieved through an external host via the Serial Peripheral Interface (SPI™) bus on the chip. The bus can also be used to monitor the operation of an external master configuration MAXQ3181 and to monitor the status of actions.

MAXQ3181 perform voltage and current measurements, up to 7 external differential signal pairs can be measured using an integrated ADC. The eighth differential signal pair is used to measure the chip temperature. The internal amplifier automatically adjusts the current channel gain to compensate for the signal level of the low current channel.
