MC33879TEK Configurable 8-way series switch, open load detection is currently deactivated
The 33879 device is a serial peripheral interface (SPI) controlled by a hardware configuration of 8 outputs, 16-bit serial inputs used by high/low-side switches. Both outputs can be controlled directly via the microcontroller of the application for pulse width modulation (PWM). The 33879 features SMARTMOS technology, CMOS logic, bipolar/MOS analog circuitry, and DMOS power MOSFETs. The 33879 controls a wide range of inductive, incandescent or LED loads directly connected to the microcontroller. The circuit's innovative monitoring and protection features include very low standby current, cascading fault reporting, internal +45 V clamping voltage low-side configuration, -20 V high-end configuration, output specific diagnostics, and independent over-temperature protection.
