MC33887APVWR2   Integrated H-bridge with sleep mode

The 33887 is a monolithic circuit H-bridge power IC with load current feedback, making it ideal for controlling closed-loop DC motors. The IC integrates internal control logic, charge pump, gate driver, and low-on-resistance RDS(ON) MOSFET output circuitry. The 33887 is capable of controlling up to 5.0 A on an inductive load with continuous DC load current, with peak currents limited to 5.2 A and 7.8 A. The output load can be activated by frequency pulse width modulation (PWM-ED) up to 10 kHz. The load current feedback feature provides a proportional (1/375th of a load current) constant current output, suitable for monitoring the A/D input of a microcontroller. This feature simplifies the design of closed-loop torque/speed control as well as open-circuit load detection. The fault state output pin reports downpressure, short circuit, and over-temperature conditions. Two independent inputs provide polarity control of the two half-bridge totem pole outputs. The two prohibited inputs force the H-bridge output to be tri-state (exhibiting high impedance).
