MC34940EGR2 Proximity sensor

MC34940 suitable for applications that require non-touch sensing of objects and are cost-sensitive. When an external electrode is attached, an electric field is generated. MC34940 detect objects in this electric field. The integrated circuit produces a low-frequency sine wave with a frequency that can be adjusted by an external resistor and optimized to 120 kHz. Sine waves have a very low harmonic content, which helps avoid harmonic interference. MC34940 also includes microcontroller unit (MCU) support circuitry to establish a dual-chip electric field system.
