All ISO/IEC 14443 A protocol layers are supported
The receiver module provides a stable and efficient demodulation/decoding circuit scheme that is compatible with transponder signals (see section 9.10 on page 31). The digital module manages the complete ISO/IEC 14443 A standard frame with error detection (parity and CRC). In addition, it supports the fast Crypto1 security algorithm for authenticating MIFARE products (see section 9.13 on page 37).
The internal transmitter module (see section 9.9 on page 28) directly drives the antenna designed for close operation up to 100 mm without any additional active circuitry.
The parallel interface can be directly connected to any 8-bit microprocessor to ensure flexibility in the reader/terminal design. In addition, Serial Peripheral Interface (SPI) compatibility is supported (see Section 9.1.4 on page 9).
