MPL015A2 Small I2C Digital Barometer

The MPL015A is a digital output absolute pressuresensorfor a variety of low-cost applications. Housed in a 5 x 3 x 1.2 mm LGA package, the sensor is suitable for portable electronics and space-constrained applications. Power consumption is only 5 μA in active mode and 0.06 μA in shutdown (sleep) mode for battery-powered devices and other low-power applications. Operating temperature -40°C to +105°C to meet stringent environmental requirements. The MPL015A1 uses a MEMS pressure sensor with adjustment IC to provide accurate pressure measurements from 50 to 115 kPa. The integrated ADC provides digital temperature and pressure sensor outputs through the I2C port or SPI. The calibration data is saved in the internal ROM. The host microcontroller uses the raw sensor output to compensate for the absolute pressure that is compensated. The MPL015A pressure sensor is ideal for barometer measurement applications due to its small size, low power consumption, high accuracy, and digital output.
