The MPR03X is an I2C interface smart capacitive touch sensor controller ideal for two-electrode (interrupt function) or three-electrode (interrupt function disabled) applications. Thanks to its increased sensitivity and many features, the MPR03X can be adapted to a wide range of applications.

Since there is no chip select line, devices using the I2C protocol require a separate address. Therefore, in order to use two MPR03x devices in the same system, each part number can be assigned a different I2C address, MPR031 and MPR032. In this way, one of the devices can implement 4-6 electrodes in the final system based on the same I2C bus without the need for additional communication lines or dedicated hardware.
