Texas Instruments' MSP430 ultra-low-power microcontroller family includes multiple devices with peripheral sets for a variety of different applications. The architecture, combined with 5 low-power modes, is optimized to implement portablemeasurement applications to extend battery life. These devices feature powerful 16-bit RISC CPUs, 16-bit registers, and help maximize code efficiency constantly. A digitally controlled oscillator (DCO) allows wake-up from a low-power mode in aggressive mode in less than 1 microsecond.
The MSP430F23x0 family is an ultra-low-power microcontroller with built-in 16-bit timers, a universal serial communication interface (USCI), flexible analog comparators, and 32 I/O pins.
