Der OPA2673 bietet den hohen Ausgangsstrom und die geringe Verzerrung, die für neue Powerline-Modemtreiberanwendungen erforderlich sind. Der OPA2673 wird mit einer einzigen +12-V-Versorgung betrieben, verbraucht einen niedrigen Ruhestrom von 16 mA/Kanal und liefert einen sehr hohen Ausgangsstrom von 700 mA. Dieser Ausgangsstrom unterstützt selbst die anspruchsvollsten größeren Ausgangsströme, die die Anforderungen von Powerline-Modems mit geringer Oberschwingungsverzerrung von 460 mA (+mindestens 25 °C) übertreffen.

Zu den Leistungssteuerungsfunktionen gehört die Minimierung des Stromverbrauchs des Systems. Zwei Logiksteuerungsleitungen ermöglichen vier statische Leistungseinstellungen: volle Leistung, 75 % Bias-Leistungsanforderungen in Anwendungen, 50 % Bias-Kurzzyklus-Stromausfall und proaktive Offline-Steuerung, selbst wenn die hochohmigen Ausgangspins in großen Signalen vorhanden sind.
