Product Introduction

This is a power OPA541 operational amplifier capable of operating from power supply to ±40V and delivery to continuous output current class 5A.Current limiting circuits can be used with a single user-programmed external resistor internally to protect the amplifier and load in a fault state.The OPA541 is made using a proprietary bipolar/FET process.

Pinout is compatible with popular hybrid power amplifiers such as OPA512 and 3573 OPA511.A single OPA541 is used to limit the positive and negative currents of both the current-limit resistors.Hybrid amplifier applications currently used require 2 current-limit resistors that do not need to be changed.

The OPA541 is capable of being packaged in an 11-pin plastic package in a flexible TO-3 8-pin sealed package.
