Product Introduction

The OPA684 offers a new level of performance in low-power, wideband, current-feedback (cyclic fluidized bed) amplifiers. This recirculating fluidized bed plus amplifier is the first to utilize an internal closed-loop input buffer stage to significantly exceed the performance of the same period, low-power recirculating fluidized bed amplifiers. While retaining the benefits of very low power consumption, this new architecture offers many of the benefits of a more ideal recirculating fluidized bed amplifier. The closed-loop input stage provides a buffer on the inverting input induced feedback error current in a very low, linear impedance path. This improved impedance of the inverting input maintains superior bandwidth with much higher gains, improving limited inverting input linearity and early resolution of harmonic distortion.
