The OPA698 is a wideband, unity-gain regulated voltage feedback operational amplifier that provides bipolar output voltage limiting. When an output voltage control driver that takes double-buffering limits, it attempts to exceed these limits. This new architecture holds an output limit of ± 10mV offset error. The op amp's output voltage is limited to 20mV over the linear operating range.

A narrow range and low nonlinearity combine to limit the allowable limit of voltage offset to 100mV set over the desired linear output range. Fast recovery of 1ns ensures that the signal path from limiting overload will be transparent. In implementation relative to the input and output, the limit function gives a specified accuracy limit for any gain and allows the OPA698 to be used in all standard op amp applications.
