The PCM1753/54/55 are CMOS monolithic integrated circuits that include stereo digital-to-analog converters and support circuitry in a small 16-pin SSOP package. The data converter uses TI's enhanced multistage delta-sigma architecture, which uses fourth-order noise shaping and 8-step amplitude quantization to achieve superior power performance and improved clock jitter resistance. The PCM1753/54/55 accepts 16 industry standard audio data formats - 24-bit data, providing easy connection to audio DSP and decoding chips. Support for sampling rates up to 200 kHz. A full set of user-programmable functions supports register write functionality via a three-wire serial control port.
