The LM3495 is a PWM buck regulator that implements a unique analog peak current mode control. This control method eliminates switching noise that is usually limited to very short operating cycles and high operating frequency current mode operation. Programmable switching between 200 kHz and 1.5 MHz can also be synchronized to an external clock. The LM3495 is also very forgiving with two switch nodes for short circuit, hiccup mode, and adaptive duty cycle limit protection faults. A 1% reference of 0.6V and trouble-free pre-bias start ensure reliable operation for the most demanding digital loads. The internal soft-start and tracking output capability of another power supply makes the LM3495 flexible and efficient.
