Der REG71055 ist ein geschalteter Kondensator-Spannungswandler, der aus einer ungeregelten Eingangsspannung eine geregelte, welligkeitsarme Ausgangsspannung erzeugt. Batterien mit einer Eingangsspannung von 3,0 V bis 5,5 V machen eine Quelle wie eine einzelne Zelle mit Lithium-Ionen oder zwei und drei Zellen mit Nickel oder alkalischen Chemikalien ideal für eine Vielzahl von REG71055.

Die Eingangsspannung kann unter der Ausgangsspannung variieren und der Ausgang kann zurückbleiben. Er eignet sich auch für Boost-Anwendungen ohne Induktivität und bietet eine niedrige EMI DC/DC-Wandlung. The high switching frequency allows the use of small surface mount capacitors, saving board space and reducing cost of ownership.
