RT8015A is a high-efficiency synchronous step-down DC/DC converter. It has an input voltage range from 2.6V to 5.5V and offers an adjustable output voltage from 0.8V to 5V while providing up to 3A of output current.
Built-in synchronization of power switches with low on-resistance increases efficiency and eliminates the need for an external Schottky diode. The switching frequency is set by an external resistor or can be synchronized to an external clock. 100% duty cycle provides low dropout operation and extended battery life in portable systems. Current-mode operation with external compensation allows for optimized transient response over a wide range of load and output capacitors.
RT8015A operates in forced continuous PWM mode, minimizing ripple voltage and reducing noise and RF interference.
