The S-8261 Series is a protection IC for lithium-ion/lithium-polymer rechargeable batteries with built-in high-precision voltage detection circuit and delay circuit, suitable for overcharge, overdischarge and overcurrent protection of 1-cell lithium-ion/lithium-polymer rechargeable battery packs.

Peculiarity:

(1) Built-inHigh-precision voltage detection circuit

• Overcharge detection voltage 3.9 V ~ 4.4 V (corresponding to 5 mV step) Accuracy± 25 mV (25°C), ±30 mV (-5°C ~ +55°C)

• Overcharge hysteresis voltage 0.0 V ~ 0.4 V accuracy ± 25 mV

• Overdischarge detection voltage 2.0 V ~ 3.0 V accuracy ± 50 mV

• Overdischarge hysteresis voltage 0.0 V ~ 0.7 V accuracy ± 50 mV

• Overcurrent 1: Detection voltage: 0.05 V ~ 0.3 V accuracy± 15 mV

• Overcurrent2: Detection voltage 0.5 V (fixed) accuracy ± 100 mV

(2) High withstand voltage device for terminals connected to chargers (VM terminal, CO terminal: absolute maximum rating = 28 V)

(3) Various delay times only need to be realized by the built-in circuit

(4) Built-in three-stage overcurrent detection circuit (overcurrent 1, overcurrent 2, load short circuit)

(5) The charge function to a 0 V battery can be selected/

(6) Charger detection function, abnormal charging current detection function

(7) Low current consumption

• 3.5 μA typical and 7.0 μA maximum for operation

• 0.1 μA maximum in sleep

(8) Wide operating temperature range -40°C ~ +85°C

(9) SOT-23-6 in a small package

(10) Pb-free, Sn100%, halogen-free
