El S842 es un relé multipropósito bidireccional, de un solo polo, de un solo tiro y normalmente abierto. El circuito se activa mediante la entrada al CI de optoacoplamiento de salida para que dos de un control vuelvan al ángulo de disparo del tiristor de la parte posterior. El circuito garantiza que no haya falsos disparos en las condiciones más adversas y una ventana donde el estrecho voltaje cero no supere los 5V.
