Guaranteed monotony Low-power operation Rail-to-rail voltage output Power-up reset to zero-volt output Wide temperature range from -40°C to +125°C Wide supply supply voltage range of +2.7 V to +5.5 V Small package Power down function   illustrate DAC121S101 is a full-featured, general-purpose 12-bit voltage output digital-to-analog converter (DAC) that can be powered from a single +2.7 V to 5.5V supply with only 177μA current consumption at 3.6 volts. The on-chip output amplifier allows a rail-to-rail output swing three-wire serial interface with an operating clock frequency of up to 30 MHz over a specified supply voltage range and is compatible with standard SPI, QSPI, MICROWIRE, and DSP interfaces. Competing devices are limited to a clock rate of 20 MHz and supply voltages range from 2.7V to 3.6V. The DAC121S101 supply voltage is used as a reference voltage to provide as much output dynamic range as possible. Power-on reset circuit to ensure that the output power of the DAC up to zero volts remains until there is a valid write device. The power loss function reduces the power consumption to less than one microwatt. Low power consumption and small DAC121S101 package make it an excellent choice for using battery-powered devices. DAC121S101 is the AD5320 direct replacement and DAC7512 a pin-compatible DAC for a family that includes an 8-bit DAC081S101 and a 10-bit DAC101S101. DAC121S101 operate at -40°C with an extended industrial temperature range of 105°C, while DAC121S101Q exceed Class 1 automotive-grade temperature range from -40°C to +125°C. DAC121S101 is on a 6-pin TSOT and an 8-pin MSOP and DAC121S101Q is only on a 6-pin TSOT.
