SE97BTP DDR memory module temperature sensor with integrated SPD
The SE97B thermal sensor and EEPROM have a VDD range of 3.0 V to 3.6 V.
The TS utilizes a ΔΣ analog-to-digital converter (ADC) that monitors and updates its own temperature readings 10 times per second, converts to a digital data reading, and latches to a data temperature register. User-programmable registers, specification upper/lower limit alarms and critical temperature trigger points, event output control, and temperature shutdown, DIMM temperature sensing applications provide flexibility.
When the temperature changes beyond the specified boundary limit, the SE97B outputs an alarm signal using an open-drain output that can be pulled between 0.9 V and 3.6 V when the user has the option to output the signal polarity as active low or high active comparator output for thermostat operation, or temperature event interruption output for microprocessor-based systems. The event output can also be configured to have only one critical temperature output.
It is an SPD EEPROM specially designed for DRAM DIMMs. The low 128 bytes (addresses 00H to 7FH) can be used for permanent write protection (PWP) or reversible write protection (RWP) software. This allows DRAM vendor and product information to be stored and written protected. The high 128 bytes (address 80h to FFh) have no write protection and can be used for general-purpose data storage.
The SE97B has a single-chip temperature sensor and EEPROM for greater reliability and supports industry-standard 2-wire I2C-bus/SMBus serial interfaces. Support for SMBus timeout function to prevent system locking. The ability provided by the manufacturer and device ID register to confirm the identity of mobile devices. The three address pins allow up to 8 devices to be controlled on a single bus.
The SE98B is the SE97B of the thermal sensor.
