The SN65HVD09 is a 9-channel RS-422/RS-485 transceiver suitable for industrial applications. It offers improved switching performance, small package, high ESD protection. The precise skew limitation ensures that the transmission delay time, not only from channel to channel, but also from device to device, is closely matched to each other for the budget associated with the high-speed parallel data bus.

Patented thermal enhancement uses an ultra-thin shrink form factor package (TSSOP) that allows operation over the entire industrial temperature range. The TSSOP package provides a very small board area requirement while reducing the package height by 1 mm. This provides more board area and allows components to be mounted on both sides of low-stance, space-constrained applications such as miniaturized hard drives.
