The SN65HVD61 is designed to meet the requirements of ControlNet coaxial cable-based physical layer driver and receiver circuitry.

These devices are mono circuits that operate with a single node or decentralized independent application transceivers.

The pull-up or pull-up transmitter circuit is designed to sink the transformer current from the center tap, providing galvanic isolation from the shared bus.

These devices integrate the sensitivity differential receiver (RX) required for 120 millivolt ControlNet industrial applications.

A secondary receiver (CD) detects the presence of a valid positive differential signal.

The third signal receive function (SIG) scale provides an analog output proportional to the differential voltage between XF1 and XF3.
