    Complies with all EIA-232 and ITU V.28 specifications     Powered by a single +5 V power supply     3 mA typical static power supply current     Four 0.1μF external charge pump capacitors     A typical transmission rate of 230kbps     Standard SOIC and SSOP footprints     1μA shutdown mode (SP211E and SP213E)     Two wake-up receivers (SP213E)     Tri-State/Rx enabled (SP211E and SP213E)     Improving ESD specifications:         ± 15kV mannequin         It features ± 15kV IEC1000-4-2 air gap discharge         With ± 8kV IEC1000-4-2 contact discharge, the SP207E and SP213E are enhanced transceivers used in RS-232 and V.28 selenial communications. These devices have extremely low power consumption, and their single-power supply makes them highly suitable for space-constrained applications. Exar's patented (5306954) onboard charge pump circuit produces a fully compatible RS-232 voltage level using a small, inexpensive 0.1μF charge pump capacitor. External +12 V and -12V power supplies are not required. The SP211E and SP213E feature a low-power shutdown mode, reducing power consumption to 1μA. The SP213E includes two receivers that remain active in shutdown monitoring signal activity. The SP207E and SP213E devices are pin-to-pin compatible with our previous SP207, SP208, SP211, and SP213 devices, as well as industry-standard devices. ESD protection for driver output and re-receiver input pins exceeds ±15kV for human models using the IEC1000-4-2 air gap discharge test method. Typical guarantees of over 120kbps and 230kbps make them compatible with high-speed modems and PC remote access applications. The receiver also incorporates the lag in cleaning up unsold signal reception
