These devices have very low power consumption, and the single supply operation makes them ideal for space-constrained applications. Sipex's patented (5306954) on-board charge pump circuitry produces a fully compatible RS-232 voltage rating with a small and inexpensive 0.1ìF charge pump capacitor. External +12 V and -12V power supplies are not required. The SP211E and SP213E feature a low-power shutdown mode that reduces power leakage by 1ìA. The SP213E includes two receivers that actively monitor signal activity while still being turned off. The SP207E, SP213E device pin-to-pin compatible competitors with our previous SP207, SP208, SP211 and SP213 as well as industry standard devices. ESD protection of the driver output and receiver input pins over ± 15kV for mannequins and IEC1000-4-2 air-gapped discharge test methods. Guaranteed to exceed 120kbps and 230kbps typical, making them compatible with high-speed modems and PC remote access applications. The receiver also incorporates cleaning of slow-moving signal reception lag.
