 Operates on a single +5 V power supply     Meets all RS-232D and ITU V.28 specifications     No external capacitors are required     High data rate - 120Kbps at load     Low-power CMOS-3mA operation     No external capacitance required (SP233A)     Enhanced ESD protection (2kV manikin) illustrates that the line driver and receiver pair of this SP233A/SP310A/SP312A device are compliant with RS-232 and V.28 serial protocol specifications. These devices are pin-to-pin compatible with popular industry standard pins. The SP233A/ SP310A/ SP312A offers a load at 120kbps, a small ceramic-type charge pump capacitor of 0.1μF, and overall ruggedness in commercial applications. Features include Exar's BiCMOS design for low-power operation, allowing for performance without sacrificing performance. These devices are available in plastic DIP and SOIC packages and operate over a wide range of commercial and industrial temperatures.
