Product Introduction

The THS4601 is a high-speed, FET input op-amp designed for wideband operation requirements, high input impedance, and high supply voltage applications. By providing a 180-MHz gain bandwidth product that is powered ± a 15 V supply and an input bias current of 100-PA, the THS4601 is wideband and large gain capable of simultaneously outputting signal swings. The low current and voltage noise allow for very low horizontal input signal amplification while still maintaining the signal-to-noise ratio of large signals.

The features of this THS4601 make it ideal for using it as a broadband photodiode amplifier. The output current of the photodiode is resistive amplification of the Prime candidate, one of the applications, as shown in Figure 1.
