The TL284x and TL384x series of integrated circuits provide the necessary functions to implement off-line or DC-to-DC fixed-frequency current-mode control schemes with minimal external component count. Some of the circuit's internal implementation undervoltage lockout (UVLO) has less than 1 mA while the start-up current and precision are referenced to the input of the error amplifier. Other internal circuitry includes logic to ensure lock-up operation, pulse width modulation (PWM) comparison (i.e. also provides current limit control), and a totem pole output stage design for source or sink high peak current. Output stage that drives N-channel MOSFETs for low shutdown.
