El TL5001A combina todas las funciones necesarias para los circuitos de control de modulación de ancho de pulso (PWM) en un solo chip. Diseñado principalmente para el control de potencia, el TL5001A contiene un amplificador de error, regulador de voltaje, oscilador, un comparador PWM de entrada controlada por tiempo muerto, bloqueo de subvoltaje (UVLO), protección contra cortocircuitos (SCP) y un transistor de salida de colector abierto. El TL5001A es una referencia típica para ± tolerancia de voltaje del 3%.

El amplificador de error tiene un rango de voltaje de modo común de 0 V a 1.5 V, y la entrada no inversora del amplificador está conectada a la referencia de 1 V. El control de tiempo muerto (DTC) se puede configurar para proporcionar una resistencia externa entre el depósito y GND del 0% al 100% del tiempo muerto.
