Product Introduction

The first member of TI's family of general-purpose op amps for new bipolar metal oxide semiconductors is the TLC08x. The idea at the Bipolar Metal Oxide Semiconductor family is simple: to provide a BiFET user who is upgrading from a dual-power away single-power system and demanding AC and DC performance paths. With performance scores from 4.5 V to 16 V in commercial (0°C to 70°C) and extended industrial temperature ranges (-40°C to 125°C), bipolar metal-oxide semiconductors are suitable for a wide range of audio, automotive, industrial, and instrumentation applications. Familiar dysfunction zero pins, such as MSOP's new feature of PowerPAD™ encapsulation and shutdown mode, can achieve higher levels of performance in a wide range of applications.

Developed on TI's patented LBC3 BiCMOS process, the new bipolar metal-oxide-semiconductor amplifier combines very high input impedance, low-noise CMOS with a high drive bipolar output stage thus providing optimal performance characteristics while the front end.
