El TMP441 y el TMP442 son monitores de temperatura remotos y un sensor de temperatura local incorporado. El transistor al que se conecta un diodo sensor de temperatura remoto suele ser un transistor o diodo de tipo NPN o PNP de bajo costo que forma parte de un microcontrolador, microprocesador o matriz de puertas programables en campo (FPGA).

Remote accuracy is ± 1°C between multiple IC manufacturers and no calibration required. The two-wire serial interface accepts SMBus write bytes, read bytes, send bytes, and receive byte commands to configure the device.
