The TMP512 (dual channel) and TMP513 (triple channel) are system monitoring and include a remote sensor, a local temperature sensor, and a high-side current shunt monitor. These system displays feature remote temperature measurements, on-chip temperature capability, and system voltage/power/current consumption.

Remote temperature sensor diodes are typically low-cost, NPN - or PNP type transistors or diodes that are part of a microcontroller, microprocessor, or FPGA. Remote accuracy of ± 1°C from multiple IC manufacturers without the need for calibration. SMBus™ or two-wire read and write commands accepted by the two-wire serial interface.

The on-board current shunt monitor is a high-side current shunt and power monitor.
