The TMP512 (dual) and TMP513 (triple) are system monitors that include remote sensors, local temperature sensors, and a high-side current shunt monitor. These system displays feature remote temperature measurement, on-chip temperature capability, and system voltage/power/current consumption.

The transistor to which a remote temperature sensor diode is connected is typically a low-cost, NPN- or PNP-type transistor or diode, which is a component of a microcontroller, microprocessor, or FPGA. Remote accuracy is ± 1°C between multiple IC manufacturers and no calibration required. A two-wire serial interface accepts SMBus™ or two-wire read and write commands.

The on-board current shunt monitor is a high-side current shunt and power monitor.
