The architecture of the A/D and D/A converters used by the TP3064 (μ-law) and TP3067 (A-law) monolithic PCM codecs/filters is shown in Figure 1, and a serial PCM interface. These devices all use the national advanced double-layer polysilicon CMOS process (microCMOS).

Similar to the TP305X family, these devices feature an additional receive power amplifier that provides push-pull balanced output drive capability. Adjust the receive gain through a balanced 600 ohm load ± a 6.6V output level via two external resistors.

An analog loopback switch and TS X# output are also included.
