The architecture of the A/D and D/A converters used in the TP3064 (μ-law) and TP3067 (A-law) monolithic PCM codecs/filters is shown in Figure 1, with a serial PCM interface. These devices all use the national advanced double-layer polysilicon CMOS process (microCMOS).
Similar to the TP305X family, these devices feature an additional receive power amplifier to provide push-pull balanced output drive capability. Adjustable receive gain can be achieved through two external resistors through a balanced 600 ohm load ± 6.6V output level.
Also included is an analog loopback switch and TS X# output.
