The TPA2000D4 is a 2-W stereo bridged load (BTL) Class D amplifier designed to drive up to 4 subwoofers -Impedance. The amplifier uses TI's second-generation modulation technology, resulting in improved efficiency and signal-to-noise ratio, and also allows for direct connection without the use of LC output filters typically associated with Class D amplifiers (which will result in a loss to the speaker equipment that must be shielded from electromagnetic interference at the system level). These features make it ideal for laptops that require high efficiency and extended battery life when using computer equipment. For closed USB bus-powered speakers, high-efficiency USB allows for higher levels of output power in the overcurrent protection circuit without tripping.
