The TPIC43T01/02 is a monolithic motor control IC designed to provide speed control 3-phase brushless DC motor. The device provides two input ports for analog sensors, including a speed sensor interface and a Hall-effect position interface. The speed feedback interface includes an FG amplifier to receive a sinusoidal signal from an external variable reluctance pickup and convert it into a digital speed signal from the control circuitry. When the motor speed is outside ± 5% of the reference signal window, a complete lock condition is declared. The input section of the Hall sensor, FFECT, receives a low-level differential voltage from an external bare Hall element and converts it into a reference signal from a converted control circuit for digital position control.
