The TPIC44H01 is a four-channel high-side front-FET driver that provides serial or parallel inputs to control four external NMOS power FETs. It is designed for use in low switching resistance or inductive loads, including solenoid valves and incandescent bulb applications.

Each channel has overcurrent, short-circuit to ground, and open-circuit load detection marks are distinguished by foreign language pins and serial interfaces. The overcurrent threshold is set via the V (PK_x) and V (COMP1 - 4) pins. The short-to-ground and open-circuit load threshold settings of approximately 2.5 V are used to define the operation of the device under fault conditions, so that the output either locks off or enters a low AR_ENBL duty cycle, auto-retry mode.
