The TPS204xB/TPS205xB distribution switches can be used in applications where high capacitance loads and short circuits are issues that designers may encounter. These devices are available in 70 meters N-channel MOSFET power switches, power distribution systems, which require multiple power switches in a single package. Each switch is input by a logical enabler. The gate driver is designed by an internally supplied pump that controls the rise and fall time of the power switch to reduce the current in the switching surge. This charge pump eliminates the need for external components and allows operation from a minimum of 2.7 to five supplies

When the output load exceeds the current limit threshold or exists for a short period of time, limiting the output current of the device to a safe level, the low output switches to constant current mode, and pulls the logic of overcurrent (OCX).
