The TPS2836 and TPS2837 are synchronous step-down power stage MOSFET drivers. These devices are ideal for designing a high-performance switching power supply controller without MOSFET drivers. The driver is designed to deliver peak current to large capacitive loads of at least 2 people. The high-side drive can be configured as ground reference or floating guidance. Adaptive dead-time control circuitry eliminates current through the switching transition through the main power FET and provides a high-efficiency buck regulator.

The TPS2836 has a noninverting input, while the TPS2837 has an inverting input. These drivers, packaged in 8-terminal SOICs, operate at -40°C in a junction temperature range of 125°C
