• Product Introduction

The TPS2838/39/48/49 devices are high-performance synchronous MOSFET driver power designs. The driver energy and absorb a drive voltage of up to 4-A peak current 14-V. These are ideal devices that use power controllers that do not have on-chip drivers. The low-side driver is a 3.3 nF driving load with a 10-ns rise/fall time and is capable of propagation delays of 40-ns at room temperature.

The MOSFET driver has an integrated 150-mA regulator with gate drive voltage and can therefore be used for dedicated MOSFET optimization. The TPS2848 and TPS2849 have a fixed 8-V driver, while the TPS2838/39 allows the driver to be adjusted from two external resistors of 4 V to 14 V.
