The TPS2838/39/48/49 devices are high-performance synchronous MOSFET driver power supply designs. The driver energizes and absorbs up to 4-A peak current and 14-V drive voltage. These are ideal devices for use with power controllers that do not have on-chip drivers. The low-side driver is 3.3 nF with a 10-ns rise/fall time for a driving load and can have a propagation delay of 40-ns at room temperature.

MOSFET drivers have an integrated 150-mA regulator with gate drive voltage, so they can be used for dedicated MOSFET optimization. The TPS2848 and TPS2849 have fixed 8 - V drivers, while the TPS2838/39 allow the driver to be adjusted from two external resistors of 4 V to 14 V.
