The TPS4005x is a high voltage, wide input (8 volt TO40 five), synchronous buck controller. The TPS4005x family offers user-programmable features including soft-start, undervoltage lockout, operating frequency, voltage feed-forward, high-side current limit, loop compensation, and various design flexibility.

The TPS4005x uses voltage feed-forward control technology to provide good linearity regulation over a wide (4:1) input voltage range and fast response to input voltage transients. Nearly constant variation adjusts gain to simplify loop compensation. Externally programmable current limit provides pulse-by-pulse current limit, as well as hiccup mode operation, taking advantage of an internal fault duration long overload counter.
