It uses an external N-channel high-side and MOSFET gate driver for synchronous rectifier (SR) MOSFETs. Drive logic gate reversal circuitry is used to prevent cross-conduction synchronous high-side and synchronous rectifier conduction. Externally programmable short-circuit protection provides pulse current limit for pulses, as well as hiccup mode operation, utilizing an internal fault duration long overload counter.
