The TPS4009x is a two-, three-, or four-phase programmable synchronous buck controller for low-voltage, high-current applications optimized by a 15-V distributed power supply optimized for a 5 V supply application. A multi-stage converter provides a combination of input current ripple and output capacitance at low power stages, faster transient response to load steps, improved power handling and higher system efficiency.

Each stage can be maintained at a switching frequency of up to 1 MHz, in a valid registration of a ripple frequency of 4-AT input and a four-stage application output megahertz. A two-stage design work of 180° staggered phase, the design work is carried out in three stages of 120 degrees out of phase, and a four-stage design work of 90 degrees, the outer stage.
