The TPS40140 is a versatile synchronous buck controller that can be configured to provide either a single-output two-phase power supply or a power device that supports two independent outputs. Several TPS40140 controllers can stack up to 16-phase multiphase single-output power supplies. In addition, multiple controllers that provide multiple independent outputs can be synchronized in an improved input ripple current interleaved pattern.

The TPS40140 converts significantly from a 15 V input to 1 MHz with an output capability of 0.7 - V.

Each stage operates at a switching frequency of up to 1 MHz. In one device, the two stages operate 180° out of phase. In a multi-device stacking configuration, slave phase shifting, relative to the master, is programmable.
