The TPS40200 is a flexible asynchronous with a controller built on a 200 mA P-channel FET driver. The circuit has a power saving function that turns off the drive current once the external FET has been fully turned on for up to 52 five. This feature extends the flexibility of the device, allowing the power of its operating input voltage to be excessively high not fading down to 52 V. The circuit has voltage mode feedback and feedforward input voltage compensation, which responds instantaneously to changes in input voltage. The integral 700 mV reference is trimmed to 2%, providing the means to precisely control the low voltage. The TPS40200 is available in an 8-pin SOIC package and supports many of the features of more complex controllers.
